With regard to personal preference among all the extracurricular activities, the Bird-Watching Society, a club that no one could afford to miss, would qualify as my first choice.

Guided by/ Under the guidance of our biology supervisor, we are motivated to explore natural environment to observe behaviors of diverse birds, ranging from common migrants to rare species. With relevant statistics collected, the biology lab witnesses meticulous data analysis and heated discussion being carried out, which is believed to contribute to the future studies of bird research projects. What fascinates me most, however, derives from its combination of biological knowledge and practice, together with precious opportunities to (escape from academic pressure and) connect with nature. Furthermore, it is through lengthy waiting for the birds’ presence that the scientific observation has cultivated/ has contributed to developing my patience and resilience.

Generally speaking, not only has the Bird-Watching Society unfolded a landscape of vigorous birds, but it has also enabled me to perceive the urgency of conserving biological diversity through individual commitment in daily life.
